Today and yesterday me and my siblings made some cookies with my sister's Easy Bake oven! It was the first time we ever touched the thing. When we started to bake it seemed like we were doing everything right and it was not easy by the way! Anyways, the instructions said to bake for 10 minutes. So we did that but we didn't time it so we didn't know when 10 minutes was done! when we took them out it looked kind of undercooked. I tried some and it wasn't that bad! My mom tried some and she said they were definitely undercooked! So Jessica, my little sister, microwaved them for 19 seconds and they were still kind of mushy. So she microwaved them for 41 seconds and they were burnt! I tried to fix it then I tasted them. They were really crunchy but still good. Today, we tried again in the morning. This time we made sugar cookies. We followed the steps very carefully and did not make any mistakes. Except for one. We were waiting and waiting for them to cook and we checked on them several times! Them just wouldn't cook in the time they were supposed to! Then I decided I didn't want to take part of this 'mumbo jumbo' so I left the room and watched T.V. instead. Jessica saw a little dial and turned it to the right. The cookies were done in a flash! She came and told me what had happened. Turns out that little dial was how high the light bulb was cooking the cookies! It was on low all this time and that was why the cookies were underdone (then overdone) before! The cookies tasted so good as if we just bought them fresh from the world's best bakery shop! Well that's the story of how I learned what that little dial was for! Now I love baking! Thanks for reading this very long article thingy!
PEACE! <3
